Detox & Recovery for Adults

Substance abuse issues are often accompanied by underlying mental health and emotional problems that need to be addressed before a patient can begin recovery. Rivendell Behavioral Health Services of Arkansas has a developed a dual-diagnosis program for adults 18 and older who are trying to break that cycle of substance abuse and emotional distress. This acute inpatient program track offers evaluation and stabilization to adults in crisis through various therapy modalities and detoxification, so they can begin to understand long terms effects of drug and alcohol abuse on the body and the mind and start their recovery journeys.

Patients are invited to select from a menu of group therapy options specific to their goals. Since detox and recovery require ongoing support as well as medical oversight, we offer group, individual and family therapy for our patients entering this program in addition to medication management by a psychiatrist. Our clinical team consists of seasoned counselors, medical staff and mental health associates who will guide each person toward a plan for success and long term mental growth and wellness. Rivendell also provides a private setting for community Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) & Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings that our patients are welcome to attend during treatment and after.

It’s never too soon to reach out for help if you or a loved one is struggling with a substance abuse problem. Download our guides to learn more about the symptoms & health effects of commonly abused drugs and how to spot the warning signs of substance abuse.
